Moving Images II is a praxis course that provides students with a critical examination of the moving image practice as a medium-specific discipline situated at the intersection of the visual arts as well as experimental and avant-garde cinema. In the course, students will examine found footage/collage films and Surrealist films, and experiment with a variety of shooting techniques using the smartphone, webcam, and camera-less technology, as well as post-production editing tools using Premiere. Students will shoot, edit, and share their films on Vimeo/Youtube.
